Labor of Love Consulting was founded in 2025 and is owned and operated by me, Erin Atkinson.

I have over 25 years of leadership experience in Small Business and Non-profit organizations, with expertise in key business administrative areas including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Strategic Planning. Throughout my career, I have encountered businesses that lack fundamental knowledge in all or some of these areas, resulting in inadequate management and oversight as well as running the risk of penalties, fines and legal issues for noncompliance with Local, State and Federal regulations.

You started your business as a Labor of Love, likely seeking to forge your own path and perhaps to make a difference in your community. Your foundation of knowledge is in the service or product you provide, but when it comes to the Administrative side of the business, some or maybe all of it is overwhelming and confusing. The truth is most people who start a small business want to do everything right, they simply do not have the information and resources they need. • Marketing & Communication: Creating an image and multiple avenues for customers to engage is critical to the success of any business. Business leaders to not need to be graphic design experts, they just need a vision and access to the right tools.

• Strategic Planning: Many new businesses have a vision of what they want to accomplish, but lack a roadmap for how to get there. It does not have to be complicated, but starting with goals and measurable objectives provides a foundation for strategic, sustainable growth.
